Stressing the importance of going for regular screenings to detect bowel cancer, Dr. Sim Hsien Lin warned that some patients with colorectal cancer have no symptoms, sharing that “by the time they have symptoms, it could be too late, so it is always advisable to go for screening to detect and treat the cancer early before it spreads”. Thank goodness Mr. Lim came forward for evaluation despite having no symptoms. Otherwise his diagnosis would have been delayed further, leading to serious consequences.
